Basically there isn't much more to say beyond what the name infers--these are simplistically easy to use applications.  They are built from the ground up with a concise concept in mind and not bloated with a lot of additional functionality the user will probably never use.

Why hammer a nail in with a sledge hammer, when you can simply use a carpenter's hammer?  You wouldn't!  So why would you want to use a full fledged, commercial accounting program to organize your bills and alert you when they are due?  For the same reason.
